With a streamlined setup and optimized checkout experience, Store Pick Up offers a flexible way to shop and fulfill orders. Let’s explore how this game-changing feature works!

  • Convenience for Customers: Shoppers can easily pick up their orders at a nearby store location, saving time and shipping costs.
  • Simplified Setup for Businesses: Effortlessly configure and manage store pickup options right from your dashboard.

Quick Setup for Store Pick Up

Configuring Store Pick Up is simple:

  1. Go to Settings > Shipping > General under the Store Pickup Options section.
  2. Key settings include:
    • Enable Store Pickup: Activate this feature to display store locations during checkout and order editing.
    • Show Distance to Store: Display stores by proximity or sort them by name/custom order.
    • Number of Store Locations to Show: Limit the visible locations (set to "0" to show all).
    • Distance Unit: Choose between miles or kilometers.
    • Store Pickup Instructions: Add custom instructions using the ##STOREPICKUPINSTRUCTIONS## merge code.

Custom Shipping Methods for Store Pick Up

  • Create custom shipping methods under Settings > Shipping > Custom Shipping Methods.
  • Flag the method as a Store Pickup Method to ensure it’s only visible for pickup orders.

Managing Store Pickup Orders

Efficiently handle pickup orders using these features:

  • Store Location Column: View and filter orders by location under Orders > Orders.
  • Order Editing: Toggle between shipping and pickup directly on the order edit page. Choose a store and enter customer details such as name and phone number.
  • Order View: Pickup details, including the selected store, are visible under the Store Pickup label on the View Order page.

Optimize Checkout for Store Pick Up

  • Enable Store Pickup to make the option available during checkout. If no shippable items are present, store pickup will be hidden.
  • Update the layout or merge codes using the HTML Editor under Themes > Edit > Pages > Checkout and Order > One Page Checkout.

Use Custom Fields for Pickup Orders

Enable the Show Shipping Custom Fields Separate From Shipping Address setting to display relevant fields for pickup orders during checkout, improving the user experience.
