New Store Locations Feature: Enhance Customer Shopping Experience

Written by Peter Curac-Dahl | Feb 1, 2024 6:30:00 AM

We’re pleased to introduce our new Store Locations feature, designed to improve the way you manage multiple physical locations and offer a more personalized shopping experience for your customers.

What’s New with Store Locations?

Easily Add or Edit Store Locations

Setting up store locations is straightforward. Navigate to Settings > Shipping > Store Locations to add or edit your store details. This ensures your physical locations are accurately reflected across your storefront, providing an up-to-date and seamless experience for your customers.

Store Locator Widget

We’ve introduced a Store Locator Widget to help customers quickly find nearby stores. This feature allows users to search for stores by name or address, ensuring they find the most convenient location.

Latitude and Longitude for Accurate Location

When adding a new store, be sure to include the latitude and longitude for the most accurate location. If the Show Distance to Store option is enabled for One Page Checkout, this will display the distance to the store. You can easily input coordinates using Google Autocomplete or manually via Google Maps.

Assign Store Locations to Customers

To offer a personalized shopping experience, you can now assign specific store locations to individual customers. This ensures that only their assigned stores will appear during checkout, further enhancing convenience.

Ship to Store Only Option

A new feature called Ship to Store Only has been added. With this option, you can restrict orders to be shipped only to store locations, hiding other shipping address choices. This is ideal if you want customers to receive their items at a specific store rather than at home or another address.

Customizable Store Location Display

Customize how store locations appear on your storefront using the $$STORELOCATIONSSEARCH$$ merge code for a search option or $$STORELOCATIONSDROPDOWN$$ for a dropdown menu. You can sort locations by distance, sort order, or alphabetically, giving you control over how customers interact with your store locations.

API Integration

This feature is fully integrated with the API, allowing you to create, edit, and manage store locations directly. This integration provides flexibility and control, making it easier to sync with other systems.
