Keep track of products needing reviews or needing attention due to poor reviews.
Products with positive reviews can have a significant impact on a shopper’s likelihood to convert. Review solicitation programs like Walmart’s Review Accelerator Program automates the process of collecting reviews for products you enroll, by emailing customers a discount code for a future order in exchange for an honest review. Through our new Reviews opportunity report, you can identify SKUs that would benefit from review solicitation, enroll in Walmart’s Review Accelerator Program, and keep track of program success.
To access the report, click Opportunities under the Reports navigation item, then select Reviews under the Recommendation Type dropdown. You can also access the report directly from this link. Note that you need a Walmart integration with your Walmart listings imported for the report to display data.
Reviews Report - How it Works
Before enrolling in review solicitation, you can access Walmart listing review data for:
- Number of reviews
- Average review rating (out of 5)
- Rating change in the last week - SKU rating is refreshed weekly. This column displays the rating change as a percentage when comparing the most recent rating to the rating from the week prior.
- Units sold on Walmart in the last 30 days
- Walmart revenue in the last 30 days - units sold on Walmart in the last 30 days multiplied by your Walmart listing price.
You can use the column filters for number of reviews, average review rating, and units sold to identify SKUs that may need further action like:
- SKUs with no reviews or recent sales
- SKUs with strong ratings but low review count and recent sales
- SKUs with low ratings that need customer outreach or resolution
- SKUs with low ratings that have since been addressed and would now benefit from additional reviews
If you’re interested in enrolling your SKUs in Walmart’s Review Accelerator Program, check out this article to learn more about how the program works. At a high-level, you can enroll SKUs to automate the process of collecting reviews. If a review is collected, you’ll pay $10 per review, until the target goal (default is 5) is reached. You can disneroll a SKU from the program at any time.
Once you are ready to enroll in the program, click the Collect Reviews button and complete the enrollment steps in the Walmart Seller Center. You will need to enroll at least one SKU in the Walmart Seller Center to opt-in to the program. Once you’ve accepted the terms of the program, you can manage enrollment in Marketplace Management.
After enrollment, click the refresh button to pull in the program specific data. Note that this may take up to 5 minutes to complete. After a few minutes, reload the page and you will now see additional columns related to the program:
- Status:
- Eligible - the SKU is eligible for enrollment in the review solicitation program.
- Enrolled - the SKU has been enrolled in the program.
- Completed - the SKU has reached the target number of reviews collected and program enrollment is complete.
- Disenroll - the SKU has been disenrolled from the program before the number of target reviews were collected.
- Ineligible - the SKU is not eligible for program enrollment. SKUs with this status have been automatically filtered out when the report loads.
- Enrollment date - the date the enrollment action was successfully completed.
- Reviews collected - the number of reviews that have been collected from the program. This does not include the number of reviews on the product prior to solicitation enrollment.
- Average rating change since enrollment - the rating of the product will be retrieved and stored once you enroll in the program. This column will show the percentage of change when comparing the rating on the enrollment date to the current rating. This column allows you to keep track of program success. We recommend disenrolling the SKU if the rating has gone down.
- Review collection cost - number of reviews collected multiplied by $10 USD.
If you are ready to enroll a SKU into the program, select the Enroll button on the Actions column. Be sure the SKU has a status of eligible or disenrolled to access the Enroll action. Once a SKU has been enrolled, you can disenroll by selecting the Disenroll action within the column.
